Elaine and the kids met Dad after work a few days before Christmas so we could enjoy some of the treats in the city this time of year. We visited 'Santaland' to ride the train (Emma has already outgrown the height limit and it will be Sarah's last year by the look of it) and the Myer window displays before seeing the city Christmas tree at the top of Queen street.
We then walked over to Southbank where we had a free BBQ/Sausage in bread (very Aussie) and raced to catch some of the free entertainment - a really funny Christmas Pantamime and the Christmas fireworks.
(We really enjoyed the fireworks as it was not very crowded and we could actually sit down by the riverfront and watch them all)
