On mothers day last month we made a visit to the Mt Gravatt cemetary where we placed some flowers on the headstone for Grandma and Grandpa McIntosh's grave. It was a great chance to talk about my memories of them with the kids and for them to feel of some of their heritage.
We also visited Auntie Maree's grave and discussed our special feelings about her as well. This was special for the kids as they remember Maree and especially visiting with her in hospital on the 'pink' day where we all dressed in pink for a McIntosh picnic at Southbank and took turns going to see her in the Mater Hospital nearby.
