We took a short trip to Wellington Point on Saturday afternoon and it was perfect low-tide time to walk across to King Island. It was a beautiful afternoon and there were allot of people out.
We walked through the low-tide flats and sand, lost shoes while crossing puddles (Emma), chased little crabs and even found some pippies that we were going to eat, but had MacDonalds instead..it was MacHappy Day afterall..:) I remembered the time we went camping on King Island as little kids (must have been just Leah and I) when Dad put all our stuff in a wheel barrow and we walked across one night when we lived at Wellington Point.
We walked around the island and found it hard to believe we camped there as it is all full of prickly pears and rubbish now.

It was a very pretty view across Moreton Bay to Manly and good exercise as well...
